For those of you who don't know me, my name's Tony DeGennaro and I'm a Roman Catholic. Although this series is obviously supposed to be funny in some regards, I'm primarily starting this series as a way to see what people think about particular moral issues. This isn't about imposing views on people, the Catholic Church isn't for that. It's about getting people to discuss what they think and why they think what they do, which is what the Church encourages - dialogue among people of different beliefs. I would also like to clear up what the Catholic Church really teaches, as the media seriously butchers the truth.

Feel free to post your thoughts about the issue brought up in this first episode, which deals with capitalism. Does it cause greed? Is it a just system for everyone? It should be mentioned that the Catholic Church is against BOTH capitalism and socialism (as am I), but I want to hear your guys thoughts. Sent by the Pope himself on a special mission to pursue the Vatican II desire for better dialogue among people of different religious beliefs, or lack there-of, Captain Catholic wants to hear YOUR thoughts on various significant moral issues of our time. The Catholic Church wants to know what YOU believe and WHY you believe what you do, so that all people of good will may come to a better understanding of one another. Once this happens, the world can truly be at peace, and Captain Catholic will not rest until peace and love prevail. Captain Catholic wants to ask you, "What do YOU think of the Catholic way?"
